To all ARC Raiders players who have been following the updates, Patch 1.29.0 introduces a brand new weapon, Rascal! It boasts a unique attack style unlike any other weapon, making it a powerful tool against armored ARC enemies!
Next, IGGM will introduce Rascal, this new Grenade Launcher, and how to obtain its blueprint.
What is Rascal?
You can almost consider Rascal a replacement for Hullcracker, but it has its own advantages.
Rascal has a similar attack style to Hullcracker, using Launcher Ammo to fire explosive ammunition that deals damage upon contact with enemies. It has very strong armor penetration against ARC enemies.
However, unlike Hullcracker, its rate of fire is almost half that of Hullcracker, but its damage is only reduced by a quarter. It also offers a lighter weight and greater mobility. If you prefer this attack style, it can provide a fun ARC Raiders experience.
For Raiders who dislike Hullcracker’s slow rate of fire and cumbersome feel, IGGM highly recommends giving it a try; it might surprise you. Testing shows it can take down a Shredder in just three hits.
How to unlock Rascal Blueprint?
To obtain this weapon, you can only craft it using ARC Raiders Rascal blueprint.
The good news is that, unlike blueprints that require specific maps and conditions, Rascal blueprints can be found on any map. There are no specific rooms or conditions; it’s all about luck.
You can loot any container, focusing on Raider Caches and Security Breach Lockers, as these are the two highest probability sources. Other containers may also appear, but the probability is very low, requiring multiple attempts and being too time-consuming.
Visiting areas with high loot value on various maps will significantly increase your chances of finding ARC Raiders blueprints. IGGM recommends the following locations:
Dam Battlegrounds
- Hydroponic Dome Complex
- Control Tower
Buried City
- Hospital
- Space Travel
- Town Hall
Spaceport
- Arrival Building
- Departure Building
Blue Gate
- Gate Approach
- Pilgrim’s Peak
Stella Montis
- Medical Research
- Cultural Archives
Riven Tides
- Hotel Panorama Azzurro
- Port Authority Building
- Azzurro Beach
And don’t forget, players have a higher blueprint spawn rate in Hurricane, so don’t forget this map condition. Players eager to obtain this item can also choose to directly buy ARC Raiders Rascal blueprint from IGGM.com to unlock and try out the new Grenade Launcher; its effectiveness against armored ARC enemies will definitely surprise you.

It’s worth mentioning that the new Trader added to ARC Raiders, Ermal, also offers many random rewards and items, including blueprints, so if you haven’t checked his offerings for this week, don’t forget to try your luck.
How to craft Rascal?
If you have already obtained Rascal blueprint and unlocked the crafting method, you will need the following materials:
- 2 Advanced Mechanical Components
- 3 Heavy Gun Parts
- 5 Canisters
Crafting this weapon only requires Gunsmith 2.
For upgrading Rascal, you have three options: Rascal II, Rascal III, and Rascal IV. Durability and reload speed are improved in that order. Therefore, IGGM believes that if you have enough materials, upgrading directly to the most powerful Rascal IV directly is the wisest choice.
The Correct Way to Use Rascal
Based on testing and player feedback, Rascal has a wide range of uses, but also many limitations. You need to consider your needs carefully.
As a Backup Weapon
As mentioned before, Rascal can be seen as a more economical alternative to Hullcracker. Therefore, the best way to use it is as a second weapon.
Use it to deal with those troublesome ARC enemies without taking up your primary weapon slot, and it also has good mobility to handle unexpected situations.
Dealing with Armored ARC Enemies
Rascal’s armor-breaking capabilities are excellent; it only takes three hits to defeat a Shredder, far surpassing the performance of conventional weapons among ARC Raiders. This weapon is extremely helpful against large, armored ARC enemies on the ground.
Misuses of Rascal You Should Avoid
Don’t use it against players
While Rascal boasts good armor-breaking and damage capabilities, its single-shot attack and difficult-to-aim nature make it only suitable for close-range engagements against large ARC enemies, where aiming isn’t crucial.
IGGM must warn you that using it against other Raiders can result in significant losses. Its ammunition only damages ARC enemies; don’t expect it to be effective in PvP combat.
Don’t use it against aerial ARC enemies
Don’t expect much from aerial ARC enemies either. Its trajectory drops noticeably beyond 14 meters, making it difficult to hit enemies outside this range if you’re unfamiliar with this type of weapon.
Not to mention, aerial ARC enemies are generally more mobile and harder to aim at than ground-based ARC enemies.
Don’t use it on small maps or in crowded situations
Rascal’s attacks are very loud, making you easily noticeable to other players and a target. Be careful to avoid attracting unwanted attention with Rascal’s sound.
Don’t overuse Rascal
Rascal’s attack pattern means it can only load one round at a time, and its Launcher Ammo type limits the amount of ammo you can carry.
Therefore, don’t use these rounds indiscriminately. Treat Rascal as a backup weapon and use it only when you really need it.
This concludes IGGM’s detailed introduction to Rascal. Does it suit your taste? Go into your ARC Raiders, unlock and try out this interesting special weapon! We hope this article has been helpful.
